Many years of professional experience and involvement in the unique ambiance of New Orleans have given each member of the Storyville Stompers a thorough knowledge of this great music and how it affects people from all over the world.

"If a street party is jumping in the French Quarter, there's an excellent chance the Storyville Stompers are on board....The Storyville Stompers are an integral part of the brass band scene with a big fat sound and plenty of spirit.....the group is one of an handful of ensembles carrying on the tradition with a repertoire of classic jazz tunes too rarely heard these days." Geraldine Wyckoff, Music Writer, Gambit Weekly

The Storyville Stompers perform regularly in and around New Orleans at parades, conventions, festivals, concerts, weddings, airport greetings, receptions, parties, and any other function that warrants celebration. The band also performs at jazz funerals. The Storyville Stompers have been enjoyed by audiences of all ages in Asia, Europe, across the U.S., and at sea.

The band is acoustic and able to play in almost any setting. From the stages of major festivals to the grand ballrooms of the finest hotels; from paddle wheel riverboats to the streets of the city, the Storyville Stompers have been heard, enjoyed, and danced to by thousands. Whether you desire a large stage band, a parade band, or a smaller intimate band, the Storyville Stompers can provide quality New Orleans entertainment to fit the occasion.

One New Orleans tradition that the Storyville Stompers help to perpetuate is the colorful second-line parade when audiences dance behind the strolling brass band waving handkerchiefs or twirling decorated umbrellas, becoming part of a festive entourage. The grand marshal, clad in crisp tuxedo, sash, and matching umbrella, leads the band and everybody dances. The band can parade through functions or escort groups to restaurants, riverboats, and other destinations in this great New Orleans style.

"As the Storyville Stompers played jazz classics, people happily dropped their business and began dancing on the sidewalks..." Mimi Read, Times-Picayune
